Breaking the 2014 Ice

Hope, Regina, Julie Lynn, Regina, Julie Alice, Hope, Lynn, Regina and Julie I was challenged to write by these lovely ladies...then I get here and I realize I did not even write a happy new year post! Shame! Happy New Year 2014 friends. I hope it is rolling along as well for you as it is for me. I had a fantastic time this Saturday with my friends of old, Alice, Hope, Regina and Julie. If there is any advice I would give to twenty-somethings, it is that they should  choose their friends right early and stick with them. Life is too challenging to be lived friendless. I am engaged to be married. A hope I had shelved. Considering posts on here such as this  one :-) I was quite surprised when the question was popped. I am still amazed that he got the finger size and the blue stone right- just as I had imagined it in my dreams...  smh :-)  I am as excited as I am apprehensive; praying daily that nuptial plans will go well, that I will not...

The Tyranny of the Urgent- A very belated Third Day(June)

ur·gent    /ˈərjənt/ Adjective (of a state or situation) Requiring immediate action or attention.  I have been attending to urgent issues...work, travel, a budding love life, family time, a brand new nephew...et cetera. I find, though, that the state Urgent is tyrannical- there is no negotiation, I must deal with the government NOW , and on its own terms. The wedding was cosy, lots of laughter, a bit of rain, some dancing and good food. The name of Jesus was glorified. More pictures to come, my camera was not in a grand mood on that day so I only have one picture :( Rachel and her dad walking down the aisle I took a trip to London for a couple of weeks, experienced the English summer in all it's greyness :) and learned to give thanks more for the weather in my hom...

I have been experiencing all kinds of special since the year 2013 began. I should not be surprised because God did say that He will fulfill promises He had made to me in the past. Promises I had even forgotten about or thought He had deliberately refused to answer. He said it would be my year of as if postponed jubilee.  I realize, now, that I have erred in not recording these 'specialnesses' :)...So, from here on now, I will post on here, as often as I can, my All Kinds of Special (AKS) . Jesus said, ‘My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.’ (John 10:27) The most recent special I experienced was two mornings ago. My colleagues and I were en route to Buliisa from Hoima. We are on a work trip. The road is quite horrid but we were going at about 80kph. My eyes were closed but I was not asleep. I was praying silently…in tongues. A part of me was wondering why the unusual unction to pray that way at that time but another part of me was simpl...
